Humboldt Waste Management Authority (HWMA) is soliciting applications for the full-time, entry level position of Utility Worker at the Hawthorne Street Transfer Station in Eureka. Wage:
$12.26 to $15.04 per hour plus benefits. Duties include:
regular interaction with the public, monitoring of discarded materials for unwanted items, cash handling, sustained heavy physical labor in a variety of weather conditions, scale and forklift operation, and facility cleaning. Minimum qualifications include:
High School diploma or GED, valid California driver's license, the ability to work effectively with others, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
